Today Was A Good Day

Hi all – today was good. Started off with listening to Kid A again on the CD player – always reminds me of my first trip to Vancouver Island and the whole Heide good holiday (as opposed to the Heide bad Northern Ireland trip) – driving back from Campbell River starting to drift asleep in the back, or to listen to it while I was under the plaster, with a breathing snorkel out LOL.

Then switched to Oasis Morning Glory, and that reminds me so much of the Crescent Arms in Croydon, my second attempt at a pub job – bleah in hindsight of course. Great great happy music, and when listening to Oasis was cool, or at least not not cool LOL.

And then into work, walked up with Jo today, who thought hmm the train she got that day was too early, getting to the office ten minutes before we needed to. Swapped the soccer results LOL, and then waited ten minutes for the training to start.

Rushed down to Wintergarden for my latest eye appointment, and took a long time to put the disposable lenses in – something was up with that LOL, with my latest crush, and then decided to follow through with ordering the glasses, damn they look good at the moment, hope they do when the glass is added. Kat, the sales assistant likes me I think LOL, and not just cos it’s a good sale.

And then back to finish off work, can’t get to Ann Street from Queen Street in five minutes I discovered, and Jo during arvo tea was discussing gyms with Wayne, Rachel, Kim and Lisa and said with the short time we will have for lunch from non-training time on, it looked like I had had a good enough work out coming back from Queen Street.

Why I haven’t actually mentioned anything about the content of work is because a) we didn’t really need it, and b) our trainer was quite a distracting character LOL LOL. We didn’t need it because it was telephone and communication training, yes you can be told the scripts and preferred words and all, but at the core of things, you are either good on the telephone or bad – you can modify slowly and over time, but the core of you never changes.

And yes, the distracting trainer – Danielle LOL, what can I say… cute, funny, outrageous flirt (well, she was winking and smiling all over the place in between the actual training bits), and I am sure would have a million funny stories. Very personable, in two words. Oh, and apparently single – hmm, that just sorted out in my mind that I will send a thank you email to all the trainers, and see what progresses from there – too bad Danielle likes the uniforms too much LOL – Defence Force is also in our building (two floors) – and is in Billing (we will be in Activations).

So yeah, as I come down from thinking about that smile (and you should all know me, I smile/flirt as good as I get LOL), listening to Oasis on the train home. Have a new latest crush, see ya Ms Optometrist Girl LOL LOL.

Later taters

Paul
