Isn't Lay-By Grand?

Hmm, so yeah, first thing off the top of my head this evening is the fact that I saw some classy glasses in the optometrist store this evening, when I went in for my appointment. The glass is gonna be hella expensive, but the frames are classy and on sale, AND I can do eight weeks layby, putting 20% down first thing (when/if I decide to buy them). If you didn't know, I have a HUGE chip on my shoulder about wearing my glasses, big ugly things that they are - and this potential replacement pair are small and classy and very nice. Armani as well LOL.

The optometrist I have/had is a girl LOL, quite pretty in the nerdy kinda way. And talks at my level about sight and stuff, lol common sense and layman's talk and all that, rather than all the guff of talking scientifically. And yes, I have another crush - hmm have there been any songs about Celia's before LOL LOL. Ordered new contact lenses, and as noted before, am keen on getting real glasses as well. Real and classy that I'm not ashamed of wearing of course - lol, who needs anti depressants, I have new glasses LOL LOL.

Work today was reasonable - had a good trainer, who was very realistic and mocking about how it is to be a newbie, and wandered off in conversation more than a few times. And basically said to us that we would be asleep at 2.00pm so when we got there he gave us basically an hour of non brain deadening guff lol. And then we got stuck on trying to get onto the live system as ourselves rather than trainees.

Wayne solved most of the techie issues, he is in the good books again. Mel has been quiet so far this week - at least to me. Lexi is opening up, even though she is a Collingwood supporter LOL, Rachel was away sick again today, Jo, Anne and Sharon are still what they were at my last report, and Lisa and Kim are being more talkative around me. Although our trainer said that on average two out of each ten trainees drop out in the first couple of months, they can't hack the Telstra pace? You're kidding?? What pace LOL LOL. Show initiative, be positive and proactive and you can be made permanent easily.

When you can take the pebble from my hand, it will be time for you to go grasshopper indeed LOL. That's a great line...

Oh, and got the letter from my new crush/optometrist to give to the agency to say that I am doing my best regards the eyesight crap. If they aren't happy that I'm getting the best sight I can then hmm that's discrimination? Now there's an out there thought Paul if you can't even get Medicare over here LOL, yes what are the chances you can get and afford a lawyer LOL.

Hmm, Iran has arrested eight UK Marines it says were in it's territorial waters. In the area that started the Iran Iraq war in the 80s, fingers crossed it goes well and doesn't snowball from where it is currently, international incident wise.

LOL, now this is a weird issue to bring out in the middle of the election, Air Canada and bilingualism - of course, talking about uni or bi lingualism in the public service is taboo, but bringing up a sinking airline and a side issue of how it is sinking, and shaking my head here in incomprehension as to why it is an issue. All that stuff is for after the election surely? Ah well, I see the Bloc is finding ANOTHER confidence issue, the Air Canada headquartering in Montreal issue LOL. Less than a week until election day, and still seems to be too close to call. Not even going to mention the Bloc saying that the nation doesn't recognise June 24 as anything other than a Quebecker holiday. Not even going to mention it at all LOL.

Hmm, that's about me for the night, will spot you all later LOL

Paul
