Sad news for the morning, Ray Charles has died, aged 73. LOL humming in my head, I always get Georgia On My Mind mixed up with You Were Always On My Mind (by Elvis that latter one was wasn't it?). Hmm, the official site doesn't have news of it yet, just a post in March saying how a movie will be made of his life.
Well, I have an earlyish start today, have to be into the agency to register (bank account number, tax file number all that sort of thing - plus that bedamned eye and hearing test LOL) at 9.30 - which, for me, is early LOL. After that, if I pass my sight test, there will be two weeks training (which I will be guessing will be fairly 9 to 5ish) and then shift work from anytime from 7 ayem to 7 pee em LOL, Monday to Friday. Oy, those 0700 starts will be horrid. Now, with the spare cash I have today, will it be a movie, or a take out lunch I have LOL. Well, it is take out meal night at home, so hmm, will think about it.
Hmm, the election campaign in Canada is going negative, and the Libs are in disarray by the looks. Whether it is we are halfway through the election and we will have time to buck up our ideas good, or Kim Campbell bad (surely not?), well, another two and a half weeks to go. Is rather exciting, as elections go LOL.
Hmm, no coalition deaths in Iraq today, but plenty of Iraqi v Iraqi fighting, police station overrun in Najaf, mortar attacks in Fallujah, more attacks on coalition convoys... is a mess, whether or not the US and willing forces stay or not.
This one is scary - man is found dead in his apartment after twenty years (well the paper on his table was from February 1984), he was bankrupt and moved into a vacant building his construction company had built. The sad thing is, none of his relatives put in a missing person's report. Mmm, rugbyyyyyyy - if New Zealand had been in the final, we would have beaten England I'm sure LOL. And no, we won't be talking about the semi final... LOL
Aww, panda numbers are increasing. Positive non political non war non sport story of the day that one. And we all know there aren't too many of those around. Good article about reality television, and especially the role women are supposed to play in the shows, is here. Guys are never judged as harshly as girls on reality TV. Never. Big statement I know, but yeah, its what I have seen - even the Jerry Springer show, bad girls are treated worse than bad guys. Oh, and very much so, the general thing of women needing to be perfect, goes to the makeover shows - saw an ad for an Aussie version of Extreme Makeover last night saying she has never been called beautiful, but now has the chance. What a load of SHIT LOL.
Okies, its time for me to get ready for this induction day thingy - speak again soon - maybe this afternoon if you're really lucky LOL.
