LOL - going with the Survivor motif today instead of Big Brother for work today. Ladies and gentlemen, the new contestant is Konrad - who was in the last training group that just got promoted so I'm not quite sure whether he came in late to that group or just didn't quite hit the relegation promotion sweet spot LOL. Seems nice enough, had a quick talk at lunch, but mainly his socialising time was spent with oldbies LOL. Or so it appeared.
Started the day by having the usual before work ten minutes with Ann and Sharon - Wayne and Kim wandered over just as the three of us were getting up to get to work. Is only a three minute trip from the coffee shop :) And got to the top, everyone arrived on time amazingly, and then we sorted out our own seating arrangement (with me with Wayne, Jo and Ann), but apparently we had been assigned seats and we couldn't really go forward with any REAL training until we resat ourselves LOL. And of COURSE the person with the seat allocation was away today, and we had to do eLearn, which is basically reading lots of Powerpoint shows and doing questionnaires on them. ALL FUCKING DAY lol. Was a lot of fun, not... there was a bit of a burst when we logged into the normal puter systems, but we didn't do anything with it LOL.
So yeah, the interesting times were the socialising moments. Had morning tea sitting with Kim, Mel and Lisa - lunch was with Rachel, Sharon, Kim and Konrad - and arvo tea was with Kim and Lexie - hmm, theme of the day perhaps LOL? Was nice talking to her, and was thinking of adding her to the email thinking list (not necessarily sending but at least thinking of sending), when I was thinking though, our coach was at her desk trying to sort things out systems wise. Did a BA in Media Studies, and yes, I asked what did that set you up for :) has nice eyes and a nice smile - and yes Paul, I realise what's happened in the past with workplace infatuations - not even gonna go there since I'm NOT LOOKING lol!
And this arvo, thought long and hard before sending a thank you email to my trainers over the last couple of weeks. Not enough simple thank yous said in the workplace nowadays, but there is a fine line between sending those emails because you believe in saying thanks and sending those emails cos you like the look of your own typing, if you know what I mean. Sent with the best of intentions of course, but one of those difficult emails to write well - think I did it though, and see what happens from there. LOL don't have to have the thought I didn't thank them preying on my mind now.
Think that's about it for now, unless I bring out the news and linking skills again. Canadian election results tomorrow WOOHOO exciting, and yes I really mean that LOL.
Talk later peeps
Paul
