Yeah, yeah, I know, fourth post of the day, but there are just some entertaining stories out there - will try to avoid the politics, war, kind of things, and just focus on fun stories. This entry will thus be very short LOL.
This one is interesting - a town in Michigan has just elected an eighteen year old mayor. The guy wasn't even eighteen when the election was called, needed to register to vote a week after the announcement, and run a write in nominee campaign. From chemistry homework to David Letterman LOL. Of course, it is a part time mayordom, but still, he has about twenty years to organise for the Presidency LOL.
And for the campaign finance guys, he only spent $700 on the campaign. Of course, extrapolate that from 8,200 to 300 million hmm. No, don't want to do it just yet, but surely it wouldn't be as extravagant as the election campaign costs last year? Oh, of course, that was for both parties.
Beijing has announced five mascots for the 2008 Olympics. Yay, now I know what to ask Santa for Christmas, little mascot dolls LOL - aren't mascots like the most useless things around the Olympics now? Just because they have cute panda faces, hmm we will ignore the lack of democracy all of a sudden or something?
Or, as the British Daily Telegraph puts it, they are Pokemon like. Isn't Pokemon Japanese? Haven't wars been started for less?
Okies, two nice fluff stories, now off to read what Dubya is saying on Remembrance Day... will not blog about it just yet, which I am sure you are all thankful for :)
