2100 Photos and Counting

Hey all - title today alludes to the fact that I now have seven, count em, seven 300 capacity photo albums, and I am not even into this decade yet LOL. My collection starts in July 1996 (when I first went overseas by myself) and 2099 photos later I am only at Christmas 1999. And thinking what has happened the last five years, geez a lot has happened :)

Just seen the new adidas ad featuring Scooby Doo and David Beckham - Hanna Barbera, where are your values? Well, I guess after putting Freddie Prinze Jr in the movie, I guess we can safely say where that has gone lol - sorry Freddie, but Scooby isn't exactly doing much for your career I would hazard a guess :)

Hmm, who was the girl that sang the Gloria Estefan Turn the Beat Around song on American Idol, it was that blonde one wasn't it? LOL and no I am not going to search google for her name, just tells you how fleeting reality TV fame is - George Huff, won't forget that name LOL LOL. But no, it wasn't Georgie boy - anyways, the girl that sang it on Australian Idol got voted off this week. Top four, Ricki Lee, Courtney, Daniel, and Chanel as the outsider. Mmm Ricki Lee, as this photo (as he goes searches) will hopefully show. Well, it's not the Michael Jackson influenced white hat and suit, but it's still a nice pic.

When did you first notice sports? I was thinking of that this morning, with my favourite sports, and hmm rugby first came to my notice in 1990, the first or second All Black test against Scotland. With cricket, it was the 1987/88 season, Richard Hadlee trying to knock Mike Whitney's stumps over, and it just wouldn't go for about an hour grrr. Soccer, I think the first I knew of it was listening to my uncles in Rotorua discussing the English Division One (as it was then) and the FA Cup, but the first games I saw were in Italia 90 - mmm, England losing on a penalty shootout (surprising that LOL), Lineker and all that LOL.

Ice hockey, hmm, hard to say when I first noticed that, rather than the Quebecker girl at school wearing the Habs jumper in 1993, or listening on the news that night that Montreal went on a riot LOL. Or was it the Canada pavilion at Expo 88 - I know that was my first exposure to Canada, and it was a good impression, but the first game I remember actually watching was at high school in New Zealand (thus 1990 to 93 sometime) and it was in some class or other - English maybe? With the comparison of the speed of the commentary? Mmm, Canada... sorry, was just thinking about the country then. Did I watch the ice hockey in the Winter Olympics in Calgary perhaps? Harder than rugger, soccer or cricket to pin down LOL.

Bush and Kerry's first debate tonight, Australia time. Will wake up tomorrow morning - hmm, no, it's at nine Eastern time, so that is what, seven in the morning ours? Will just finally be good to have a REAL thing to compare both of them to rather than the ads that keep going around and around and around.

Work was OK today - the boss said that I was doing a great job, and that I could do anything in the company I wanted to, and that the first thing on the list will be to make me permanent. I didn't say ANYTHING to that - but oh, it was nice, my last call of the day, really really confusing case and all, the old tenants aren't turning off their lines, even though they have been told that any charges from the newbies will go to them - said to the new tenant who is afraid that the old one could turn it off at any time that I would keep an eye on the number just to see if there are any orders on it, and would ring her back if a cancellation order came in - anyways, after frustrating myself and being ten minutes over time, she said you guys are great - thanks Selina, that was the exact right thing to say :)

Okies, that's about all on my mind for the moment - til tomorrow

Pauly
