Sooo Frustrating

Hey all - well, the one day cricket season has started, and I am pretty intense on my sport so getting dicked by Australia again (Cairns, basically our last hope, just got bowled - 39 runs needed in umm four or five overs), is just soooo grr - rugby is our national sport and all, but I have been watching cricket for longer and with less success than the rugby. Although the Wallabies beating us always gets me ramped up as well.

Talking of the rugby, the All Blacks made it through the end of year tour unbeaten - which neither Australia nor South Africa can say. Although the Baa Baas (Barbarians) are never really serious threats. Only three months until the Super 12 season starts, and even sooner for the preseason games LOL.

Kasprowitz just had a shocker of an over - heaps of runs including four wides and now we only need ten off two overs - I hate raising my hopes though because they almost always get dashed cricket wise - the test whoppings I can take better because it is spread over five, or sometimes four days... the thing is though, that we do alright against all the other nations usually - it is just Australia that we keep getting our hearts and hopes broken.

I get intense about sport, what can I say - oh, you did not want to be around me the morning we lost the semi against the French in the 99 Rugby World Cup. My fingernails take a battering during cricket season as well.

Have found myself on this site somehow, listing all the Aussie based blogs they can find. Am sure I won't get chucked out for supporting the Kiwis in sport LOL, or for being a Kiwi myself - and FINALLY I can find some local bloggers - not to track particular people down of course, god knows I would hate to have that done to myself - anonymity and all that you know, but just nice to have people that you can relate to similar geography - I mean it's great reading about Grand Rapids and Winnipeg and trying to figure out the Spanish or Japanese or whatever, but will be exploring that site more :)

And how did I get my name on the list LOL - oh well, whoever did it, thanks very much :)

We won we won :)

Saw the movie Saw yesterday - I thought it was good, and well worth seeing at the cinema. You know there are movies that are better off waiting until DVD but Saw isn't one of them. It has a lot of rough edges, and is no Seven or Silence of the Lambs by a long shot, but is well worth viewing - unless you have an aversion to over the top gore. Was talking to my parents about it after seeing it and they said was the gore justified, I thought about it and said no LOL - although I hear some of the worse parts have been cut for the R version in the States...

The plotting I think was good, the editing seemed a bit music videoish at times, and coming back and reading further into the chat boards and stuff, yes there are a few confusing bits in the plot, but the measure of a good movie of the genre is to build up the tension, and Saw did that very very well I thought. As per usual, I will think about doing a more extended review, but whether I get around to it or not is open to debate LOL.

Okies, time for the endorphins to settle down - later taters
