Well, this morning it was Pantera's Walk - woke up to the news this morning, fuzzy head as per usual, blah blah politics, blah blah Iraq, blah blah multi shooting in Ohio at some concert of some band I hadn't heard of - guitarist ex- PANTERA. And that woke me up. Well, for the five minutes before drifting back to snooze mode LOL. As one of the sidelines on the site I have chosen says, we have a Who but where is the Why?
Mmm, Pantera - have had a few beers listening to them. So yeah, while I was showering and getting ready and stuff, the opening bars of Walk were bouncing around my head. Need to get their CD now. Or two of them - good memories of socialising and stuff with that music in my head - and of course I would never do anything illegal like KaZaa downloading LOL.
And then I get into the Guardian as I do, and the worst British Xmas singles comes up. And now I have Boney M's Mary's Boy Child bouncing around my head. Reminds me of drinking in Croydon, think it was ramping up to our Xmas party LOL, or it was that time of year and that was on. Mmm, drinking with Jo, Mark and Lisa... I loved the UK... but Boney M, hmm there was a phase at work parties where it was always Boney M or Cotton Eye Joe LOL, thank god that phase is over :)
Silly story of the day that managed to get all over the various news broadcasts here, is some South Florida parents going on 'strike', to make their kids clean up themselves. Hmm, minor celebrities of the day, even worse than Survivor or Big Brother wannabes.
Well, any semi-respect I had for them just went out the window - '"This is war," Cat Barnard said. "I love my babies, but I don't like what they're doing."' Umm, people, Iraq is war, South Florida is just stupidity, well at least in the parents on strike sense.
Good Seinfeld tonight - the Chinese restaurant one. Have never seen this one in full actually, always caught the end when they are tearing their hair out LOL.
Mmm, space exploration story of the day here - let's go to Neptune, where the sun is one-nine-hundredth the size of it in Earth's sky, the winds go at 900 kph LOL, and Triton, it's main moon, had a greenhouse effect of 5% temperature increase in nine years. I love space, there are just so many amazing things out there, hmm will have to check up on Cassini over the next few days or something :) Hmmph, timeline for launch is 2019 and for orbit/landing is 2035. Not a Gen Xer type timeframe LOL. Where's those Vulcans with warp speed when you need it...
More soon
