Okies, take two LOL. The day at work was OK enough, Sandy, our regular trainer was away so we had Phil come up from Corporates, along with Mylie is going to slot into a coach role the next couple of promotions within the coaches that happens or something. Bundle of energy and very relaxed style during the day. And personally, did a mix of requests (new lines and cancellations) so that was good and relaxed and all.
As noted before, Jo, Lisa, Mel and myself went for a lunchtime ale LOL, well I was there for the plate of chips and of COURSE the beer was gotten accidentally. LOL Lisa spilled the top of her beer over her pants, and Jo waited five minutes for the particular brand of beer to be re-kegged and then had a huge head on it, but she pounded it down :) and got froth all over her nose. She moved into her new place on Wednesday and is all excited about it - was supposed to have been built in May I think, but building overruns bleah, so the last couple months she has been living in a caravan with the boyfriend. A house would so be a change after a caravan LOL, and Jo has a drill and a newfound love for domesticity and renovation shows on Saturday evenings. Scary LOL in a friendly kind of way :)
And then after work, Jo, Mel, Sharon and myself headed down to the pub again. Hell, it was a Friday after all. Wayne said he would definitely come this week, but we must have missed him again LOL. Mel said she would give him hell for it come Monday, comedy version of hell I mean, but we will see. Then she said well he probably will like being left alone after all the queries I have had LOL. Phil came in, our trainer that day, and had a couple beers with us, he had only just been made permanent a while back after only a year with Telstra, well not even a year, nine months with the balance being spent with the girlfriend in Montreal - which then led to an ice hockey comparison, with Sharon a Canucks supporter as well LOL. Discussion of fave movies with Mel and Sharon and Phil - oh, Lisa had gone early, after looking at her watch, looking at her glass and challenging me to a sculling comp, bad Paul bad bad, I won though LOL.
Sharon went about two hours after she had brought the subject up LOL, and Phil wandered off, and then Ursula bounced over. Half Maori girl, although Australian citizen now, and is on our floor, I think I mentioned she has just gone through the training we are doing herself. She introed us to members of her team, Kirsten, who is on the way back to Timaru with, Simon and his partner (a he one) who Mel started a deep and meaningful with. And, just as I was thinking of heading home, the suggestion went up that we go on to the Valley, a bar there. And everyone who knows me knows how easy it is to twist my rubber arm LOL.
So, we ended up at Mel's usual haunt, off Brunswick Street. The other guys drifted home pretty quickly, but hmm I got up dancing and then Mel got me up dancing and then she met one of her good good friends, or maybe an ex or something, I dunno, but she was pretty, Amelia I think the name was. Then we got thrashed twice at pool - well, we got to the black one time, and I screwed up my shot - the others were on one ball and the black at that stage and they got it, and the next game we only got one ball down. Then back to the dancefloor for a bit, and by this stage I was clockwatching for the last train home LOL.
Hugged Mel a couple times, and of course, the dancing was pretty close as well, and I can't remember who initiated the hugs but they felt good once they got started. And I air kissed her on the cheek while she actually made lip (and teeth?) contact with my neck - was very nice from memory. Music was fairly good as well, although the only song I can remember was Crazy Like That by Beyonce (remembering Ottawa) and that was while I was getting a round in. But I'm sure I wouldn't have gotten up to a bad song when Mel took my hand - hey, wasn't it supposed to be me that led LOL - but yes, workmate situation you don't lead in those do ya Paul...
Don't worry, this talking to myself and doubting about these sort of situations happens a lot. Mel is a friend, becoming a good one, and is partnered up and playing for the other team. LOL the partnered up itself is warning enough for you Paul :) And yes, she is only twenty as well, so I guess she is pretty green life experience wise. I will work on the friendship and keep an eye on other stuff - with an eye to stopping it LOL if anything gets more than it should... I don't think I have explained myself too well though. But hopefully you get the idea :)
No Danielle last night, worst luck LOL.
Got a quick Maccas on the way to the Valley station, and then got home at about quarter past one. Feeling the worse for wear LOL. Had a few hours sleep, switched on the TV for music vids, had a shower and was feeling fine and everything, but as soon as I started multi tasking on the computer, I felt VERY queasy. Feeling alright now a few hours later so will see how we go.
Mmm, Bledisloe Cup match tonite, go the All Blacks, after last night, will be watching it at home LOL, all my weekend excitement vouchers were used up last night. There is a suggestion of going out and hiring some vids or DVDs, but not sure about that at this stage.
Spot you all later
Cheers, big ears
Paul
