The Games themselves come and go, and the way the IOC selects cities is somewhat cryptic and very political sometimes, but the Olympic Spirit and the thought behind the games OMG is so universally good. These ads are wonderful, and cut away all the cynicism in me, and dammit, make me cry sometimes when I think deeply about them.
Can you imagine a world without the nations of the world coming together to have a sports festival? Can you really imagine a world without the Olympics?
There are also the 2000 and 2002 campaigns linked into this page. Say what you like about the IOC, they do damned good ads - or is that just the soppy side of me?
