Manic Monday

First off, I don't usually start off my night time entries with a news article, but Five Days In The Life Of An Invisible War from the Guardian today is damned good.  It deserves a much wider readership than it is going to get.  One of the reporters spent a week with the Marines in one of the backwater towns just out of Fallujah, and, it makes me remember to support the actual troops - I support the troops over there, but the politics that got them over there is SO fucked up.

The day away from the newspapers has been pretty quiet.  Finally backed down and wore an ugly jacket to work today, LOL it WAS only four degrees when I got up.  The girl that is the best aesthetically on the eye at the train station sat down next to me on the actual train today, but I went with the walkman again LOL - maybe by the time she sits down to me after another couple times, we will maybe talk :)

Got to work and did the typical two and a half hour brain drain training session.  Finished it off for three weeks now though, so Sandy the trainer will be one on oneing with us over the next couple weeks - she also said that too much work was being done and not enough training, so I basically took that as stop doing real work and just concentrate on training, which I basically did all day.  Was OK I guess, did the whole wander around at different points of the day, trying to chat to everyone LOL - oh mi god am I becoming the alpha in the group, shit I hope not.

Hmm, what else is going on - eh, there is a major thing going on, the ex trying once again to cut all contact (I don't like losing complete touch with ANYbody), but I don't really want to dwell on it in a diary.  Yet, anyhows.

Laters, Paul
