To start with today, an elephant running away from the beach when the waves were coming in saved an eight year old British girl. And awww, it's cute, a baby elephant LOL. Oh no, now I have that song bouncing around my head LOL...
Also heard about the boat crew that got pushed off course by 250 kays, that got picked up by the Indian Navy. Lucky lucky boys, like that TV series Lost but in real life and on the sea. So not much like that TV show Lost at all then LOL.
Finished off my job application today - I thought I was rushing things by just starting it a week and a half ago and only fully completing a first draft four days ago, but then watching my fellow applicees (think I have invented a word there LOL) - some of them just started their writings today! And whereas I was just fixing up bits and pieces of grammar and punctuation and lazily emailing it in about 3.30, others were furiously typing all the way up to 4.59 LOL. We shall see what happens...
And with me being on leave from Monday for a week and a half, guess which week they are doing the interviews. My flight on Monday isn't until 5pm, so if I do make the interview shortlist, I will probably get called in on Monday morning. After thinking so much to get the application done, do you mean I have to think about an INTERVIEW now LOL. Grrr, just give me the job or don't, can't you do it that way :)
Speaking of the time away, V arrives tomorrow. Spending time online when V is around, hmm not a smart move, the internet is one of those huge red flags with her. So no doubt my blogging will take a break for umm thirteen days. Thinking of keeping notes from day to day to paste to the blog when I 'get back', but will see whether I have time to keep those as well.
Will be good to be home, catch up with the grandparents and hopefully most of my friends as well :) ... still have one close friend that I have to 'track down', but I actually think she is away from Wellington for the entire month. Will see what we can do :)
Hmm, this is an interesting one - file under 'why I am vague about what I do at work part 2' LOL - this guy got sacked for saying snarky things about his work and boss. From a bookstore that prides itself on freedom of speech hmm - had an advertising campaign the other year with Hitler and Pol Pot urging you to read. A more interesting case than the intern in Washington or the flight attendant in Texas - those two had made work the cornerstone of their blogs, whereas Mr Edinburgh had as wide a range of topics as I do. Hmm, my boss likes me, but there are due to be big team changes the next month or so (which is why they want these permanent interviews over asap) - will I get a pointy haired boss in the reshuffle LOL.
My Saskatchewan currently Florida friend has turned up and doing voice yahoo chat so off I go to be distracted :)
